Software Appliances

Currently all TurnKey Linux software appliances are based on Ubuntu 8.04.2 LTS and packaged as an installable Live CD image that can run on real hardware in addition to most types of virtual machines (e.g., VMWare, VirtualBox, Xen HVM, KVM).

Each software appliance is different, but they are all carefully built from the ground up with the minimum components needed to serve a specific role. See appliance features for more details.
