Just came accross a light,very fast webserver and easy to configure :  http://www.cherokee-project.com

It even has now streaming video support for WEBM (VP8) :
http://www.alobbs.com/1386/Streaming_WebM_VP8_One_Day_Later.html

Perhaps you can use it in one of the appliances...

Thanks for the tip. I've heard of Cherokee but haven't yet had the pleasure of using it myslf. The streaming video support looks especially sweet. I wonder in what configuration Cherokee would be most useful to users.

For example would an appliance provide a LAMP-like web stack, or would Cherokee be a part of an appliance that specializes in a particular usage scenario (e.g., video streaming).

If anyone in the community is familiar with Cherokee, please come forward!

BTW, sorry for the delayed response we've been insanely busy recently with the Hub and Lucid builds.
