imap_open() and imap support in LAMP

Just installed a fresh copy of the LAMP image and found no imap_open() support. Is there a reason for this that I am missing?

Just open "Software-Packages"

Just open "Software-Packages" in Webmin, search APT for "php5-imap" and istall the module. Then restart Apache and IMAP support is aktive! :-)

I get this error:

Installing package(s) with command apt-get -y --force-yes -f install php5-imap ..

 

dpkg: status database area is locked by another process
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

.. install failed!

 

Any suggestions?  I'm clearly in over-my-head now.  I tried stopping Apache first but that didn't help.

Nevermind...a server restart fixed it.  Sorry I didn't think of that first.
