Hello,

after i opened all Conections (5432) i still can't log in to the PG-Server on EC2.

not with the local phpPGAdmin and not with PGadmin

it always comes the Message "Password authentification failed for user "postgres"

i didn't changed any password, the applicance is installed fresh.

Is there any other Password i should know?

Thanks in advance

Manuel

Because EC2 instances are publically accessible on the internet, the postgres (and root) passwords are set randomly on first boot for security reasons. This is also true for mysql where relevant.

You can find the password in the ec2 console output, and in /root/README. This will be changed in the upcoming release to be more user friendly, details to follow...
