tklpatch not running conf

I am attempting to create a tklpatch but when I test it in a new vm, it looks like the conf script doesn't run.  I do see the overlay files where they should be.  What can I do to determine why the script isn't running?

chmod

I just saw on the patch development page this line:

 

chmod +x mypatch/conf

 

I did not do that on my build system, but will try it out now.
