TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library

one login?

I was wondering if there is a way to have one login for the mutiple turnkey applications. for example one login for PhPBB and Wordpress to tie the user accounts together? I did notice they use SQL database and was wondering if I can just point both of the servers to one database? also is that an effictive way to do this if it is possible?

Theoretically it probably could be done

But it certainly isn't something that can be done easily (at least not that I know of). And the difficulty will depend on the appliances in question and your researching skills and/or coding skills and/or patience.

I would recommend asking on the relevant forums/mailing lists for the software (ie phpBB and WordPress). The term that is commonly used is 'single sign on'.

One thought that springs to mind is using IoenID although I still don't know exactly how you would go about it (or even if it would really work without a fair bit of tweaking).
