TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library

Drupal core outdated (7.14, not 7.18)?

Why is the Drupal package so outdated (7.14 instead of the current 7.18)?

How is a minor core update performed in this virtual environment?

Easy to Update

"at first I was taken aback that the latest was DP 7.14 (7.18 is current as of this writing); however, I learned how to update the core. (Once your DP7.14 site is up and running, put it in maintenance mode; use Filezilla (or similar) to SFTP into the virtual server, and copy everything but the 'sites' directory into the server's /var/www/drupal7/ directory. Then on your DP site log into its address with 192.168.1.9/update.php to access that page and run the updates.)"

The Drupal7 appliance also includes Drush

Which is an awesome commandline tool which allows installation, removal and update of modules, themes and the core. Very handy! :)
