I 'm doing test with web server and mysql for ticketing app.

I saw lamp 12.1 and it will be great for this deal.

I need to backup and restor the VM, database and config file also.

I'm using Vcenter and Vsphere 5.0 U2.

For backup I use Datarecovery 2.0.1

I'm unable to run vmtools.

At the end of installation I have:

Creating a new initrd boot image for the kernel.
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-686

Checking acpi hot plug done
Starting VMware Tools services in the virtual machine:
Switching to guest configuration: done
Guest operating system daemon: failed
Unable to start services for VMware Tools
Execution aborted.
