I just ran what I thought was a successful "step up" restore of Joomla 2.5 Appliance.

I went from Squeeze 12.0 to Wheezy 13.0.  All showed good in TKLBAM.

Because, however, I did not run DHCP at start I did not initially run the "seemingly standard" Package Upgrade at first boot (you can't do this if you go static IP right at first launch).

this is my traceback (bot from webshell "apt-get update"  and directly Below: webmin "Upgrade All Packages"

(Any thoughts on this?)

UPDATE #1 (I just compared old and New Machines and the only variance I see on this is that My Name Server Sequences are Reversed, so I swapped these but Same Result).  I will test on the old Squeeze Machine next.  If that fails likely an issue w/ the DNS server at our CoLo or perhaps the Debian Registry.

UPDATE #2 (I just fired up the Default Wheezy Joomla 2.5 Appliance - pre restore of squeeze data) and It UPDATES fine from Webshell.

I expect there is an issue with Restores going up 1 Version to next Version TKL (12 to 13), but this should normally work.

thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

I suggest that you check that your new server is resolving DNS ok. Try pinging google from the commandline:

ping -c 4 www.google.com

If that works then try again with cdn.debian.net

ping -c 4 cdn.debian.net

If all that works then try apt-get update again... If none of that is working then you have a DNS and/or firewall and/or networking issue...
