AWS Marketplace

Connect to your server

Sign in as admin using your EC2 key. TurnKey starts the setup prompts automatically.

Read the full AWS Marketplace guide →Server management, backups and support.

  1. Find your instance and key

In the EC2 console, select your instance and copy its public IPv4 address or public DNS name. Have the private key file (.pem) for the key pair you selected at launch.

Wait for the instance’s status checks to pass. Its security group must allow SSH (port 22) from your IP address.

  2. Connect from your terminal

Replace key.pem with your key’s path and PUBLIC_IP with the instance’s address:

    ssh -i "key.pem" admin@PUBLIC_IP

On macOS or Linux, run chmod 400 "key.pem" first to restrict access to the key. On Windows, use OpenSSH in PowerShell with private key permissions set for your user.

  3. Follow the setup prompts

TurnKey guides you through setting passwords, configuring your application and installing security updates.

You can skip the optional Hub API key prompt and configure backups later.
