Requirments for the Moodle appliance?

Hello, please forgive the basic question, but I am a Windows guy looking to learn some other things. I am wanting to install the Moodle appliance. Does it work by itself, or does it need some type of LAMP stack (such as the LAMP appliance)? Thanks for all of your help.

TKL appliances are standalone

So you should not need anything further. They are designed to make it as easy as possible to get running.

I'd suggest installing it into Virtual Box (or similar), at least initially.
