Turnkey Core AMI not usable as an AWS EC2 "Spot Instance"

It seems that your Turnkey Core AMI can't be used to set up an AWS EC2 "Spot Instance".

Since my Basic service level doesn't entitle me to ask Amazon why that is so, I'm wonder if you can help me to understand?

But alas I haven't yet had a response. They're usually pretty responsive so I'm not quite sure what is going on TBH... If I haven't heard by COB tomorrow I'll give them a nudge.

Although it's probably not the one you were hoping for... Apparently:

Spot instances are not supported on the AWS Marketplace.

So the only option for you to reduce your costs would be to go for a reserved instance.
