Run program automatically on startup

I can't figure out how to run a program automatically on startup for a Turnkey appliance. Would someone please point me in the right direction? Should I use the everyboot init hooks?

Paul is right. But you could use inithooks if you wanted to.

Thank you! My info about init systems in general is a bit out of date and I wasn't sure if Turnkey does anything differently besides that. I will try Paul's method.

TKL v14.0 (Debian Jessie) has systemd (not sysvinit)

It does have sysvinit compatibility though so Paul's link should work fine... Probably just good to keep in mind though. :)
