Mounting a Windows Share from TurnKey LampStack

I m a newbie on linux and ubuntu. I searched some forums on how to connect(mount) a windows share on ubuntu. Can anyone tell me step by step how it works and if en how to install the right packages

install smbfs and use smbmount

But obviously not... Oh well, for the record, here is another 'how-to' type document.

Although TBH unless you have a particularly large amount of data which you don't want duplicated, I'd be more inclined to just copy it across to your server using SFTP (eg Filezilla). Just my 2c...
