Need help with outgoing email
Hi,
I have setup a turnkey wordpress system. In wordpress, I have a contact form. Form seems to be working fine and it says that msg has been sent. However, email is not reaching my (external) mailbox. Do I need to make any changes or is it supposed to work out of the box. I have not made any modifications other than changing the "To" address in the Contact Form setup. I do not need to receive emails in this system, simply send out from the website.
I am new to all this so any help is appreciated.

Reply 2OK, I did a bit more digging and found the following error in logs.
smtp.secureserver.net[72.167.238.201] refused to talk to me: 554-p3pismtp01-061.prod.phx3.secureserver.net 554 Your access to this mail system has been rejected due to the sending MTA's poor reputation. If you believe that this failure is in error, please contact the intended recipient via alternate means.
More research found that it is probably due to the fact that I have a dynamic IP from my host. I am simply hosting a small personal blog that may have 30-50 visitors / month.
Could someone please suggest a solution?

Reply 3This thread may give you some ideas that may (or not) help. That specificly talks about TKL hosted on AWS (i.e. via the Hub) but some parts may still be relevant.
If you get totally stuck, perhaps it is possible to route your traffic through another server (e.g. perhaps through your host/ISP's SMTP or if you use Gmail, through Google's SMTP)? TBH I'm not sure on the config required (I've never done it) but I'm sure that you can configure Postfix (the default mail agent) can be configured to relay through an alternative SMTP (instead of sending the mail directly).
It may be possible to contact your host/ISP and get some further ideas off them...
