Amateur (no formal training) IT guy for a small NGO (as well as a little freelance stuff). I still consider myself a bit of a Linux newb (although I've learned a few tricks over the last ~3yrs soperhaps I need to stop saying that?).
I am now a complete open source fan. I try to use open source software where ever I can & I encourage others to use it too. I believe that the open source mentality is the foundation for human technological innovation. Imagine if fire or the wheel had been proprietry inventions!?!
