New TurnKey Joomla version (2009.10-2)

Changes:

  • Installed all security updates (see manifest for package versions).
  • Install security updates on firstboot (except when running live).
  • Bugfix: Updated apt preferences for auto-security updates (LP#550307).
  • Trick webmin into not checking for upgrades (managed by apt).
  • Updated di-live mysql mechanism and secret regeneration.
  • Included latest version of inithooks and updated scripts.
  • Included wget as per common request.

Joomla 1.5.15 package available

We have just finished successfully testing the Joomla 1.5.15 package on the 2009.10 release, and have updated our package archive to include it.

Joomla 1.5.15 is quiet a large update, and includes moderate security fixes. Due to the large update, and the fact that the security fixes are not considered critical, appliances will not upgrade automatically for stability reasons. You should upgrade at your earliest convenience: 
apt-get update
apt-get install joomla15

New TurnKey Joomla version (2009.10)

Changes:

  • Upgraded to Joomla 1.5.14
  • PHPMyAdmin improvements:
    • Added pmadb (linked tables) advanced features to PHPMyAdmin (LP#426303).
    • Pinned PHPMyAdmin to update directly from Debian (security).
  • di-live (installer) MySQL component:
    • Added support for complex passwords (LP#416515).
    • Added CLI options (user/pass/query/chroot).
  • Bugfix: Removed build systems hostname from mysql user table.
  • Regenerates all secrets during installation / firstboot (security).
