After rebooting a server, my tklapp.com domain was not longer available:

 

TKLAPP.com

Did your server change it's IP? It might be a DNS propogation issue...

I didn't explicitly change the IP. Perhaps the reboot resulted in an IP change. So maybe I just didn't wait long enough.

Yes, it seems that every reboot changes the server IP. It takes up to several hours for propagation.

Is elastic IP the only solution?

For your own use, using a 'better' DNS provider will help (eg Goole's 8.8.8.8), but that isn't much good for other people trying to access your site.
