I had a power outage and now after all of the other VMs are up and running it is only this one that is not doing anything. I get a screen that shows succesful boot device: hard drive - success. I get nothing after that. Is there a way to run the iso and have it repair so I do not lose my data?

First thing to do is to check/repair FS
You should be able to boot with a Linux LiveCD/ISO (even TKL one should do). Then check/repair with the fsck command. TKL is based on Ubuntu 10.04/Lucid and uses ext4 fs with LVM. That should be enough info to get you some useful search results. Sorry I haven't got better answers for you right now...
