Hello,

I just installed a fresh Drupal 6 Turnkey Appliance, which is up and running, but I can't login to either Webmin or PhPMyAdmin. I can access the IP-Adresses and get the login screens, but I get some sort of wrong password screen, when I try to log in with root and a blank password. (for PHPMyAdmin: #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO))I considered it could have something to do with Firefox' 3.5 strict authentication rules, but it failed with IE8 too. By the way, I am using Windows XP SP3 and VirtualBox. I am a little at a loss here, although it is proabably just a very simple problem. ;)

When running the appliance live, the default passwords are blank. But, when you install the appliance, you are asked for 2 passwords: The root system account password, and the root mysql account password.

- System login, SSH, and Webmin all use the root system account.
- MySQL and PHPmyAdmin use the root mysql password.

I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

Thank you very much, I had completely forgotten that I had specified my passwords. However, there was a different problem: The Turnkey installation was done with an American Keyboard layout, while I use a German layout, and since I had an y in my password, the login failed... simple problems :)

Hi there,

My passwords fail Whatever the settings I try (In Network for example).

I have no K-board pb but it amounts to the same : I'm stuck to the login pages in Webadmin and PhpMyAdmin with root and MySql password not getting me through.

On an ancient VM only the webmin is accessible. The PhpMyAdmin denies its access (same Pwd as you said or blank or I don't know what else I've tried)

I've started over the installation of new VM but without success.

I'm desperate
