Dear Community,

I have about 6-7 VMs build from TK Core and TK Redmine instances.

I added the API for TKLBAM to each VM, backup up and then restored to a new cloud instance. However, now that I have spun up my cloud versions, the VMs no longer run thir applications.

Attached is an error I get once I restore my Redmine instance. And I have had broken EMR servers built off core. The firewall settings are all 100% open, so that's not the issue. It just seems like the backup or migration parts of TKBLAM might not be doing what one would expect.

Any help would be wonderful as I am out of ideas. I have tried larger instances, both 64 and 32 bit versions... nothing seems to be working as I would expect...

Best,

Casey

And of course I can't just wait for an answer.... So, if my VMs are all built from TK Core, the default backups maybe only grab a few directories. If this is the case, I need to use webmin to fully backup and redeploy my VM (and now I know why the file size was so small)? Any tips on how to ask it to do the whole VM easily? Also, there is a huge use case for being able to easily deploy a new version of one of our apps, is there an easy way to make my own VM image that TKLBAM will be able to auto deploy?

Best,

Casey

But the Restore has taken 20 hours so far on a medium instance. It's a 2GB backup, why is the restore taking so long?

TBH I'm not sure why it takes so long. I have never included that volume of data in a backup so mine are almost instant (my fileserver has masses of data but I back that up locally cause it's not that important and the bandwidth consumed and the time it takes to upload is ridiculous...)

There was a suggestion some time ago to have some sort of progress reporting from TKLBAM on backup and restore though which I think would be good (and would at least give users some idea of how long to expect...)
