Hi all,
I have installed a File server version 12.0 in our environment which is responsible to take daily backups on another server.
I noticed something unusual, some warning message when I issued the below command. Can please somebody look into this and help me. It would be great if somebody can explain me what does this actually mean how can the issue of this so called corrupted file system be taken care of.
$ du -sh /srv/storage
du: WARNING: Circular directory structure.
This almost certainly means that you have a corrupted file system.
NOTIFY YOUR SYSTEM MANAGER.
The following directory is part of the cycle:
`/srv/storage/.snapshot/nightly.1'
Thanks
Forum:
I've never come across that one myself...
But a bit of a google suggests that it is an error that occurs basically because of a kernel bug... Assuming that your issue is the same as others I found online, it occurs when a filesystem is bind mounted... Does that sound relevant to you?
