IMO it shouldn't be like that by default. And if it is then we need to change that! However AFAIK Ajaxplorer uses the Samba usernames and passwords. So if you have a Samba user called "admin" that can log in without a password then I imagine that that would reproduce your experience...

sorry but where can i find this Sir?

And Jeremy, by default i can't find the 'admin' user in samba list but when i tried logging in using 'admin' w/out password, it did login..so i tried creating an admin User in samba, added a password, and then logged in and it worked, but then again i can still log in w/out a password.. kinda messed up..

AFAIK there should be 'Ajaxpolorer' user accounts which have their own passwords ('admin' should be set at first boot). Then you can also use Samba users (and their respective passwords). I might have to look into this a little closer...

As for the location of the settings file. I haven't double checked but I'd assume that it would be /var/www/xplorer/server/conf...

'admin' password set at 1st boot is ok, and can be use at local log in..the problem was w/ Samba log in accepting 'admin' w/ no password to log, and i cant even see this 'admin' user when i look into webmin, w/c on my opinion should be there coz it can log in to Samba..

thanks for looking into it Sir..
