Hi all,

Is it possible to have a ready TurnKey with Guacamole (http://guac-dev.org/)?

Thank you.

At this point the core dev team are stretched just to get the current library of appliances up to date. So any new appliances will need to be driven by users. Anything completed within the next month should make it into the next release.

TKLDev is the tool to build new appliances with. I'm more than happy to provide more help for any that want to have a go...

Why hasn't this happened in the 10 years since it was requested?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I haven't done it because I just haven't had the time. We're a very small team with limited resources and a lot going on. A lot of our time is taken up maintaining the existing appliances. So these days we mostly rely on community members to "scratch their own itch" and contribute back to the community.

So perhaps you'd like to have a go at creating it? I'm happy to point you to the tools and documents to create a new appliance. It can be a bit time consuming and there is a bit of a learning curve. But once you get your head around the concept it doesn't really require much technical knowledge. The build code is mostly bash with a little python. Even if you don't know any of either, creating a new appliance is a great opportunity to learn the basics. Both python and bash are very popular and there are tons of online resources. Existing appliances can also be used as a resource.

Let me know if you want to have a go.
