I've setup a VMWare Server running the TKMediaWiki.  I installed it about 2 weeks ago.

I gave it 512 MB of RAM, 10 Gigs of HD-SCSI. and 1 NIC.

In the past day or so, I've made some config changes to POSTFIX for Relaying Using SASL AUTH.

During, some testing with the MW website, I had to reboot the machine 2 different times, because it just became unresponsive, via Web page and SSH.

When I rebooted, everything seems to be running normal.

1.  What logs are available for system failures?

2.  Are there any caveats or things I should be aware of when running TKMW on a VM?

Thanks

As described in the documentation, TurnKey Linux appliances are just customized Ubuntu servers, pre-integrated to give you a better starting point relative to your usage scenario. That's it. That's important because there is a great deal more information online about Ubuntu and Debian than TurnKey Linux.

Not sure what could have gone wrong on your system. Haven't come across something like that myself. syslog dumps system logs in /var/log. Try going through that to see if anything is out of place.

Good luck!
