I have installed Turnkey Torrent Server on a headless PC.  When I connect to the LAN, I can access <http://192.168.x.x where I can see the menu and can log in sucessfully to Webmin from the menu or directly on <https://192.168.x.x/12321 and similarly on to Web Shell on <https://192.168.x.x/12320 and to File Manager <https://192.168.x.x/extplorer.

My problem is that I cannot connect to ports 12322 and 12323 for MLDonkey and Web-GMUI. The server just appears to not be listening on these ports.

I have tried various Webmin settings to no avail, MLDonley is running, I have even set up 12322 on the router, though I haven't had an opportunity to do the port test because I cannot "see" port 12322.

Have I missed something obvious ?

I am a Turnkey fan, with the experience of a Lamp server running Zenphoto under my belt and a little basic Linux experience and a lot of trial and error.  This seemingly obvious one has stumped me !

Sorry that was misprint on my part. I confirm that I have been using https://192.168.x.x:1232x/

When I access the log on menu on http://192.168.x.x/ , Webmin, Web Shell and File Manager all work as expected. When I try to access MLDonkey and Web-GMUI through this menu, the IE8 browser on my laptop returns;

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

  • Internet connectivity has been lost.
  • The website is temporarily unavailable.
  • The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
  • The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
  • There might be a typing error in the address.
  • If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section

I checked the last option as the one most likely to be the problem, however all the SSL and TLS boxes are checked. Besides I assume that the Webmin and Webshell require the same protocols

I can connect and use https://192.168.X.X:12320/ (or :12321) just fine. When I try ports 12322 or 12323 I get a page cannot be displayed error. Extplorer works fine too.

I mention that I am trying to connect from a different subnet than where torrentserver resides (could be a restriction for local subnet only???).

Any advice?

Thank you
