I'm just getting started with the appliance and have had no luck finding a way to get the ssh2 php extension to install correctly.

I've seen a lot of conflicting and confusing stuff on the web about how to do this -- here, http://www.how2pc.co.il/blog/2009/08/how-to-install-a-php-ssh2-extension... (for Ubuntu 9.04); and here, http://pecl.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=11779, for example.

Nothing working yet though.

Has anyone here done this and have any recommendations?
