TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library

udhcpc issue

jackey.yang_1's picture

Hi Alan,

I installed turnkey-tomcat 11.2 on Mac Mini 2011 (Lion & Snow) today. I got everything work fine but I did found out the udhcpc has some issue to get ip from my WRT54Gv4 router. I remembered that this issue had been detected in the past. udhcpc is ok with built-in BCM ethernet card but does not work with BCM wifi. I replaced udhcpc with dhcp3-client (dhclient) and it works fine. I strongly recommend that later turnkey release may replace udhcpc with dhclient.

accidentally removed udhcpc issue

I removed udhcpc by mistake and now my machine is isolated, the problem is that I cannot even mount a virtual drive to reinstall the package or another dhclient package, because I am using openvz and cannot add another disk to the vm, any suggestion on how to proceed?

Add a venet interface to your container

If you add a venet interface you can give your container a static IP.
