Hi:
Does anyone has detailed instructions on how to set up Turnkey Linux File Server to be a member server of a Windows 2000 AD domain? I would like to use the users and groups from the domain to authenticate to the shared folders of the Turnkey File Server.
I hope someone has this info.
Regards,
Manuel Ortega
Forum:
Should be possible
But i have never done it myself. I thought there was something relevant in the docs but I can't find it right now. It may involve a little mucking around to get it all to work nicely, but should be possible.
Anyway, if you keep in mind that TKL v11.x is based on Ubuntu 10.04/Lucid and uses Samba 3 for the filesharing then you should be able to find plenty of info on the Ubuntu forums/wiki and/or via google.
If you get it all working nicely be great if you could post back - or better still post in the TKL docs (its a wiki).
Ok, thanks. Let me try.
