Hello,

My very first post and I am asking for help. Sorry, wish it was to offer some help!

Have TK WP installed and working and was setting up postfix to function as a mail server on the same box.

Got most things working in this regard as I can send mail just fine.

Can't for the life of me figure out why I can't auth SMTP to the box though. If I am on the box itself as root I can do telnet localhost 25 and I am in and can send mail.

From the local subnet I cannot telnet to the box on port 25. Get connection refused.

I do have it opened up from the outside as well but figured if I can't get to it locally it doesn't do me much good to try from the outside yet.

Opened up port 25 on the firewall of the TKL box via webmin.

added my domain  : postconf -e "mydestination = mail.mydomain.com, localhost.localdomain, localhost, mydomain.com

also set postconf -e "mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8, 192.168.1.0/24"

Finally I also set sudo postconf -e "inet_interfaces = all"

Got the old "ripping my hair out" blues now and can't figure this one out.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
