Does Turnkey Core support rsyslog?

It's the default Debian syslogger and unless we have reason to do things differently (e.g. using SysVInit in container builds) we generally stick with Debian defaults.

So it's installed already: 

# apt-cache policy rsyslog
rsyslog:
  Installed: 8.4.2-1+deb8u1
  Candidate: 8.4.2-1+deb8u1
  Version table:
 *** 8.4.2-1+deb8u1 0
        500 http://http.debian.net/debian/ jessie/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
