I've just started using the MediaWiki AMI instance from TurnKey and am looking to add some extensions.

Most of the extensions only support active versions of MediaWiki.

The current LTS version is 1.27 and the TurnKey version is 1.19 which became obsolete in mid 2015 (almost 2 years ago now).

I like the idea of the TurnKey instance, but I'm concerned that it is so out of date.

Can I expect TurnKey to upgrade soon and/or are their supported instructions (which I have not found yet) that I can use to upgrade myself?

Thanks in advance.

We have a new appliance on the way with an upstream install (i.e. it uses latest upstream rather than the Debian package version).

Unfortunately it's not available on the AWS Marketplace yet. Currently the only way to launch the new version on AWS is via the Hub.

The new appliance should be up on AWS MP within the next week or 2.
