Drupal5 5.16 package available

We have just finished successfully testing the Debian drupal5 5.16-1 package on the 2009.02 release, and have updated our package archive to include it.

Drupal 5.16 is not a security release (unless you are running Drupal5 on Windows), so those interested in upgrading should do so manually:

apt-get update
apt-get install drupal5

New TurnKey LAMP version (2009.02-hardy)

Release focus: security, usability, bugfixes and updates

Changes:

  • added SSL support
  • added Python and Perl support for apache2 and mysql, so the P in our LAMP stack appliance now stands for Perl and Python in addition to PHP.
  • mysql-related improvements
    • include PhpMyAdmin (listening on port 12322 - uses SSL)
    • set empty mysql root password in live/demo mode (for convenience)
  • updated apache2 "it works" page to provide more useful info/links
  • added webmin PHP configuration module and increased default PHP limits (convenience)
