Plantovita has fully equipped laboratories which conduct pathogenic tests on seed potatoes presented by seed potato growers for certification purposes. These samples are drawn by officials of Potato Certification Service in accordance with specific guidelines and submitted to the potato testing laboratory. The purpose of potato certification is to eliminate diseases harmful to the potato crop. One of the most robust and common detection techniques in plant pathology is the ELISA test. Plantovita uses, inter alia, the ELISA test for the tracing of specific plant pathogens. The potato laboratory is specifically equipped for this purpose. Plantovita recently established a molecular testing laboratory and is therefore able to compete in the field of plant pathology at a high level. The testing of the crop in the potato laboratory is the final step in potato certification.
