- Alex Kime Alex Kime moved to Alaska from Oregon in 1963 at age 12. The following year he experienced the Great Alaska Earthquake. In the 70’s he drove truck on the Haul Road and helped build the Great Alaska Pipeline to Prudhoe Bay. In the 80’s he bought his first horse Cyrano, and together they explored the back country of the Kenai Mountains. Alex Kime’s passion is sharing the beauty of the backcountry on the historical trails of the natives and pioneers. Alaska Horsemen is named after the packers that pioneered the Tustumena and Kenai Mountains by horseback. Join us for an authentic adventure and you too, can be one of the “Alaska Horsemen”
