Penney is a seasoned traveler, rock climber, and yogi currently residing in beautiful Lake Tahoe as part of the in-house editing team. When she’s not scrambling up a rock face or sweating on her yoga mat, you can find her hiking, camping, cooking, reading, or cuddling with her pup. She’s also actively working to improve her skiing, canyoneering, and trail running skills. She has a BFA in Fine Art and worked in specialty coffee for over a decade, dabbling in everything from barista competitions to roasting. She is a certified clinical herbalist and nutritionist and has also studied botany from the rainy Pacific Northwest to the mountains of Colorado to the deserts of New Mexico. She is an accomplished baker, skilled in everything from grain-free Paleo treats to long-fermented sourdough loaves.
