Short Bio

Could a school get the same benefit of sports (without some of the costs) if a city/local parks & recreation department could organize the program? Maybe the mcessay could still have school teams, but the school could focus its time and energy more on the more academic pursuits. Is that even worth it? How else could this be done well? Students need and deserve the benefits that an athletic program can bring, but it is worth considering how we can minimize the costs (financial, time, sacrificing academics) involved in making it happen.
