Short Bio

Henna designs first became popular among the lower class when they became a way to decorate their bodies in ancient Indian traditions. Henna tattoos have been used ever since as a way to tie clothing, or add flair and color to everyday wear. The rich and powerful had much more elaborate henna designs on their hands and feet, while those of the simple village dweller were much less elaborate. The rich and powerful still opted to use them, however, as it was a social stigma to not wear them.
