Short Bio

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. I earned a PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of Waterloo (2011). Prior to coming to the University of Ottawa, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago (2011-2015), as a Senior Researcher at the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (2016-2017) and as a Defense Scientist for the Canadian Department of National Defense (2017). https://sites.google.com/site/bestessaywritingservicereview/ My research program sits at the intersection of cognitive development and education. I explore the cognitive and social factors that influence performance in mathematics and spatial processing. In particular, I focus on the role of numerical competency, anxiety, and stereotypes in math and spatial achievement. In addition to answering basic questions about cognition, with my research, I aim to inform educational practice and policy.
