- Full-length clinic examinations. The exam is quite lengthy, and even when you're academically ready, taking a seven-hour examination without having practiced focusing and sitting on answering examination questions for this protracted time period before test day is a recipe for failure. I took the MCAT at June 2016 and scored a 511 (124/130/127/130). Leading up to the examination, my chief study tools were Kaplan's MCAT® Total 7-Book Subject Review (1e) and also the YouTube station Khan Academy Medicine, which includes videos created in partnership with all the AAMC on nearly all the material covered in the AAMC's Entire MCAT 2015 Exam Content Description. I took seven full blown (FL) clinic assessments between December 2015 and May 2016: My scores on these assessments ranged from 499--509, using a mean total score of 504. I believed the Princeton Review's FL was undoubtedly the toughest and detail-oriented, but my smallest score (499) was about the Kaplan FL that I accepted. It's my general observation that clinic examinations (particularly those from third parties) often deflate the scores of one somewhat below the way you are really likely capable of doing. Below is a spreadsheet of this data out of all of my clinic FLs.
