What You Need to Know about TevfikArif TevfikArif is a Turkish entrepreneur known across realty and sports industries. The companies he founded include Bayrock Group which developed a famous real estate in US, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, and Doyen Sports Investment which is a famous football managing agency. Arif was born on the territory of today’s Kazakhstan in 1953. The country was a part of the Soviet Union then, which is why he decided to continue his education in Moscow. Since he was interested in International Relations, he obtained a degree in that subject area from a university in this city. As a promising talent, he attracted the attention of USSR’s Ministry of Commerce and Trade. Arif immediately showed his skills, which earned him a respected position in the Hotel Management division. He remained at the ministry until USSR seized to exist in 1991, but he soon realized that opening his own company is the right move. Although he established the Chemicals Trading Company, Arif also worked with Kazakhstan’s Trans World Group. Once the country gained independence from USSR, he purchased a local chromium plant. His successful business moves later led him to develop real estates in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. It was in 1993 when Arif decided it is time to move to Turkey. Although he had a jewelry company developed there, his biggest career move happened in 1999 when he erected a big hotel in Antalya. This motivated him to continue doing business in the industry, but also to expand to the US soil. It is why Arif founded the Bayrock Group. Everything started in Brooklyn where he rebuilt a shopping mall and made it fabulous again. Upon transferring the headquarters to the Trump Tower, he met and established a business relationship with Donald Trump. It led to the two businessmen participating in numerous projects on both US soil and throughout Europe. TevfikArif Doyen Sports Investment Group was established in 2011 when the Turkish entrepreneur decided to become a part of the sports industry, too. The agency is a hedge fund that takes care of football players’ careers, but also helps clubs with financial loans and providing advisory services. Some of the most reputable players they worked with are Neymar and Mangala. Arif doesn’t like to share much about his private life. Although he has the citizenship of Turkey and Kazakhstan, it is believed he is currently living in Turkey. However, the investor owns a villa in New York where he is a donor of the local community’s Chabad in Port Washington, which is intriguing because he is not Jewish.
