Short Bio

I have been fixing individual PCs for so long that it's no more comlicated than choosing a screwdriver bit to me so I got into small home networks one day and found that to be easy as pie too.  Eventually, my somewhat limited college years and my current real life experiences put me in the right spot at the right time.  When the IT guy quit with no notice, they looked at me and said, "Wanna be the Network Admin?" and the rest is history.  I am officially, if not legitimately, a successful network administrator for over three years now.  However, my actual IT experience goes back some twenty plus years now.

I tackled Linux about two years ago on a VM and liked it so much that I built a whole other workstation just so I could have it next to me all the time.  It took a lot of Googling and conferring with the programmers down the hall but I managed to learn to be quite comfortable in Linux within six months.  Yes, I tried multiple different distros; ended up falling in love with Mint.

As the Network Admin for a quickly growing nationwide corporation, I like to explore new options and always keep my network running as efficiently as I can with the budget I have available.
This looks promising and I'm excited to dive into it in a Virtual Machine before possible implementation.  While I have never set up a domain from the beginning, I merely took over management of the one I'm currently on, I'm very interested in expanding my experience with this.

I'm bad at communicating but, if I manage to wander into the forums at some point, I hope we can assist each other in this endeavor.
