Short Bio

A computer lab assistant at an elementary school of a large school district. I've always loved technology and have always been a natural with it. Have always been self-sufficient in terms of technology and find it odd that most people out there are not and heavily rely on people like me to get the most basic tasks done. Luckily, I enjoy helping others and enjoy tech so I'm not complaining!

I consider myself to be of intermediate tech knowledge but I learn fast! I've learned more about tech in the past 6 months at this new tech job than I have in my lifetime so far. It's a very fast paced, hectic job that I really love. It has been like an awakening to me, in that I never knew just how much I enjoyed working with tech until I began getting paid for it. Makes me wonder why I never thought seriously of persuing this field as a career. Sometimes one doesn't realize their true calling even as its right under their nose. 

One of the biggest lessons I've learned so far while working in this position is...it's ALWAYS the tech guy's fault! lol. Similar to the "customer is always right" saying in retail, you've got to grow a thick skin to do your job well and not take everything people say too seriously or get too worked up when people are too demanding. Of course it's not always our fault, but convincing people of this is harder than teaching them to be self-sufficient with tech, so just grin and bear it. =)
