Short Bio

A new Linux convert. I have been a Windows Server Engineer for over 20 years now and had to escape whilst I still had hair left. I am currently rebuilding my own estate (I also have other business's that I own and run) consisting of 15 2K3 servers on 3 VMware hosts, and 20 workstations which I am porting to Ubuntu 14.04. Apart from a few issues the testing is going well and I hope to be clear of MS products by the end of this year (2015).

I am using a few of the Turnkey appliances which are showing good promise, but I am still learning so will leave judgement until later :D

As a Public Domain programmer back in the eighties I really like the community spirit that *nix has created and nurtured and hope to be involved more as I approach my retirement in the next few years.
