Short Bio

Velpanat (Epclusa) is a combination of sofosbuvir (400 mg), a nucleotide analog inhibiting HCV polymerase, and velpatasvir (100 mg), a new NS5A inhibitor (velpatasvir / GS-5816). The safety and efficacy of the SOF / VEL combination was demonstrated in clinical trials of the ASTRAL series, a total of 1,558 patients participated in phase III trials, including those with compensated forms of cirrhosis.
