Dr. Roya Ghafele has been the Director of OxFirst, an award winning IP law and economics consultancy, since 2011. Dr. Ghafele has also held academic positions in International Political Economy and Business with Oxford University since 2008 and was a tenured Assistant Professor in IP Law with Edinburgh University. From 2002-2007 she worked as an Economist with the U.N.’s World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the OECD. Roya Ghafele’s Ph.D. was awarded a research prize by the President of the Republic of Austria. Roya Ghafele was trained at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies, the Sorbonne and Vienna University.
