I have looked all over the web for an answer to this to no avail.

I have the file server appliance installed and working. It uses ajaxplorer and works well with a couple of exceptions. The most important one is the inability to upload from my phone. I have Android 4.0 ICS on a Samsung Galaxy 2 S. When I try to upload anything to either my home or storage folders I get the error:

Error while uploading file: Empty Http response

This error occurs while using either 4G or WIFI and it does not happen when using a computer.

The less important problem occurs when trying to copy files from the home folder to the storage repository. Most of the time I get an error saying it can't find repository /storage.

Any ideas?

Other than that this appliance is the answer to my prayers.

Thanks

Dave

I'm not particularly familiar with Ajaxplorer but from a quick browse of the website (http://ajaxplorer.info/community/faq/) it seems that the uploader is flash based, perhaps that is problem?

However, I did get it to work for a while but then I turned on HTML uploading as a fallback for the non-flash devices and now I can't get my phone to upload anything even though I turned off the HTML uploading. It won't do it from dropbox or anywhere else.

Question, is there anything else other than ajaxplorer that can be used as the front end. I noticed that the latest version has started using it but before then there was a different front end.

Thanks

So you could perhaps try that? I'm not sure how much effort it would take to install but I'm sure it's possible. No doubt there are other options too (google might give you some ideas). Or perhaps you could post on the Ajaxplorer support forums/mailing list (I assume that they have something like that - most software does) and see if they have any ideas why it isn't working with your phone...

I have now tried several versions of Android, 4.0 , 4.1 and 4.2 none of them will upload to the fileserver. I still get the Empty HTTP Response. I would really like to get this to work with phones. Have you had anyone else with this problem and if so how did they fix it?

Thanks

Dave
