Hi community

I'm considering using Turnkey WordPress on a Hyper-V server for a corporate intranet, with ~100 users. Local testing looks promising. What do you think of that idea?

TBH I haven't ever used Hyper-V so I can't talk to how that will go; but otherwise I see no reason at all why you couldn't use WordPress as a corporate intranet, actually someone else has the same idea! Perhaps you can share ideas? :)

So far it runs fine in my Hyper-V enviroment. I had some troubles with the divi theme from elegant themes with Turnkey Linux adding a footer the pages... I do nooot quite fancy my system messing with my content, regardless how much I'm willing to support a great project like Turnkey - so I had to turn that off.

Second, I need Ghostscript to generate thumbnails from PDF files. I'm a real linux noob so I hope someone can point me to a step by step guide to add that.

But in conclusion so far - Turnkey Linux WordPress runs like a charm in Hyper-V and is a easy 10 minute setup. If I can iron out the last issues, we'll try this for our intranet.

Best regards

We really appreciate it.

If you have any questions or things you are trying to achieve but don't know how, please don't hesitate to start a new thread (like you did with Ghostscript). Even if you end up discovering the answer, if initially you didn't know and couldn't easily find an answer then it's worth posting about as others will find it and it will help them! And if you haven't worked it out by the time I come along (usually every day or 2) then I'll do my best to help you out! :)
