I only realised this morning that that I had a filter applied to my view of the forums and missed your and other posts (and all the spam) that was posted over the last few days. Apologies about that.

Unfortunately, the "terminal" provided by Webmin is not a proper interactive shell. It's something that I've been discussing with the Webmin devs for some time. It appears that it's only a matter of time before they resolve that.

But for now, if you need to interact with the shell, you'll need to use a proper interactive one. You could use "Webshell" (aka shellinabox - https on port 12320) or alternatively (and my preference) use a "proper" SSH client. As a Linux user, 'openssh-client" comes by default. Mac users should have OpenSSH installed by default. If you're on Windows, then you can install OpenSSH or use one of the many other tools, such as PuTTY (SSH) or WinSCP (SSH & SCP/SFTP).

Be sure to cancel the Webmin terminal session so that the apt process isn't still running in the background. Once you do use an interactive shell, you should be able to re-run the command you were trying to use. It's possible that something may have broken. If that's the case, please try:

apt install --fix-broken

(with no package names).

Hopefully you can get back to that question. Unless you have some special config set up, simply select "no config" (which should be the default IIRC).

If you continue to have any issues, please post back with info and I'll respond ASAP.
