Just came across turnkey linux and I think its amazing.  I was wondering if its how to install joomla over an existing turnkey lamp appliance on a virtualbox. Without creating a separate image for joomla.

Each TurnKey appliance is self contained, so you should create a seperate image for each appliance.

Side note: you could manually install joomla from the upstream zipfile, but that means you will need to complete configuration yourself, as well as maintain updating to newer versions.
